Directress Preschool
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Directress/Preschool Director to lead our preschool program. As a Directress/Preschool Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the educational, administrative, and operational aspects of the preschool, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children.
Responsibilities:
– Provide strategic leadership and vision for the preschool program
– Develop and implement curriculum and educational programs
– Supervise and support teachers and staff
– Manage preschool operations, including budgeting and finance
– Foster positive relationships with parents and the community
– Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation standards
– Develop and maintain policies and procedures
– Conduct evaluations and assessments to improve program quality
Requirements and Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field
– Master’s degree preferred
– Minimum 5-7 years of experience in preschool education and administration
– Certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development Associate (CDA)
– Strong leadership and management skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with Montessori or Reggio Emilia educational philosophies
– Knowledge of child development theories and research-based practices
– Familiarity with state and national standards for preschool education
– Experience with accreditation processes (NAEYC, NACCP)
– Strong budgeting and financial management skills
