Job Summary:
A Professor is a senior academic position that involves teaching, research, and service to the university and the academic community. Professors are experts in their field and are responsible for advancing knowledge through their research and teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise.
2. Research: Conduct original research and publish scholarly articles in top-tier journals.
3. Service: Provide service to the department, college, and university through committee work, advising students, and participating in departmental meetings.
4. Mentoring: Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research and academic pursuits.
5. Curriculum Development: Develop and revise curriculum to ensure that courses are current and relevant to the field.
Requirements:
1. Education: Earned Ph.D. in the relevant field.
2. Experience: 10+ years of experience teaching and conducting research at the university level.
3. Research: Established research program with a strong publication record.
4. Teaching: Experience teaching a variety of courses in their area of expertise.
5. Service: Experience providing service to the department, college, and university.
