Job Title: Lecturer in Education
Reports to: Department Head
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Education to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and coordinating education courses, supervising students, and contributing to the development of the education program.
Responsibilities:
1. Teach and coordinate education courses, including lectures, tutorials, and workshops.
2. Supervise students’ academic progress, including providing feedback on assignments and projects.
3. Contribute to the development of the education program, including curriculum design and implementation.
4. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the decision-making process.
5. Stay current with developments in education and incorporate new ideas and technologies into teaching practices.
6. Provide support and guidance to students, including those with special needs.
7. Communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.
8. Participate in professional development activities to maintain expertise and stay current with best practices in education.
Requirements:
1. Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
2. Strong teaching experience, preferably at the tertiary level.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students with special needs.
5. Strong commitment to teaching and learning.
6. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Education or a related field.
2. Experience teaching education courses at the tertiary level.
3. Familiarity with technology-enhanced instruction, including learning management systems and online learning platforms.
4. Experience with curriculum design and implementation.
5. Strong knowledge of education research and best practices.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include:
