Accounts Officer
Job Summary:
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records and transactions of the organization. This includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Statement Preparation:
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and credits.
1. General Ledger Maintenance:
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including accounts, journals, and ledgers.
1. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, including tax laws, accounting standards, and internal controls.
1. Budgeting:
Assist in preparing and managing budgets, including forecasting revenues and expenses.
1. Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management, including trends, risks, and opportunities.
1. Audits:
Assist in preparing for and responding to audits, including providing documentation and explanations.
Requirements:
1. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1. Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, including experience with financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
1. Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification.
1. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP.
1. Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1. Experience with Financial Planning:
Experience with financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
1. Experience with Auditing:
Experience with auditing, including conducting audits, preparing audit reports, and responding to audit findings.
1. Experience with Financial Analysis:
Experience with financial analysis, including financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting.
