Position Overview
An English, Mathematics, and Art Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction across three distinct subjects: English, Mathematics, and Art. This multifaceted role requires a versatile educator who can develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and cultivate a positive learning environment. Teachers in this position must be skilled in teaching students the foundational principles of language, mathematics, and creative expression while adapting their teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
The teacher will be expected to plan and teach lessons, provide feedback to students, and support their academic and personal growth in all three disciplines. In addition, they will collaborate with other faculty members, engage in professional development, and contribute to the overall development of the curriculum.

English Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach English language and literature, covering reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and focus on building students’ literacy, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension abilities.
- Guide students in analyzing and interpreting literature, developing critical thinking and writing skills through essays, discussions, and presentations.
- Provide individualized support to students to improve their reading comprehension, writing skills, and verbal communication.
- Prepare and administer assessments, such as quizzes, tests, essays, and projects, to measure students’ progress and understanding.
- Foster a love of reading and writing through classroom activities, book discussions, and writing workshops.

Mathematics Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced topics (depending on the grade level), such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that build a deep understanding of mathematical principles and problem-solving techniques.
- Use real-world applications of math to make abstract concepts more relevant and engaging for students.
- Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate various learning abilities, helping struggling students grasp difficult concepts and offering challenges for advanced learners.
- Administer and grade assessments (tests, quizzes, assignments) to evaluate students’ mastery of mathematical concepts and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking skills and a growth mindset in approaching mathematical problems.

Art Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach art classes that focus on both the technical and creative aspects of visual arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media (depending on resources available).
- Develop a curriculum that exposes students to various art techniques, materials, and styles, and fosters creativity and self-expression.
- Guide students in completing art projects and assignments, offering constructive feedback to help them refine their artistic skills.
- Encourage students to explore their own artistic vision, while also teaching the fundamentals of color theory, composition, perspective, and design.
- Organize and curate student art exhibitions to showcase their work and celebrate their artistic achievements.
- Integrate discussions on art history, famous artists, and different art movements to broaden students’ understanding of the artistic world.

Classroom Management
- Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment where students feel motivated and supported in their learning.
- Establish clear rules and expectations for behavior and work ethic in all three subject areas.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain focus and discipline, addressing any behavioral issues promptly and appropriately.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with students, fostering an environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and respect.

Assessment and Evaluation
- Regularly assess student progress through a variety of methods, including written assignments, tests, presentations, projects, and classroom participation.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve in all areas.
- Hold individual or group conferences with students as needed to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of students’ performance and communicate results to parents or guardians during parent-teacher meetings.

Collaboration and Professional Development
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency across subjects and to support cross-curricular learning opportunities.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development programs to continue enhancing teaching practices and content knowledge.
- Stay current with educational trends and best practices in teaching English, Mathematics, and Art, and incorporate innovative teaching strategies into the classroom.
- Attend workshops or conferences related to the subjects taught to further professional development.

Parent and Community Engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, behavior, and upcoming assignments or assessments.
- Participate in school-wide events, such as open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and community service activities.
- Build positive relationships with students’ families to create a strong support network for student success.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, with a focus in English, Mathematics, or Art (or a combination thereof). A Master’s degree or equivalent teaching certification may be preferred.
- Teaching certification or licensure in the appropriate subject areas, as required by the school or educational system.
- Proven experience teaching English, Mathematics, and/or Art, with a solid understanding of the curriculum and standards for each subject.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a structured, positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Creativity, flexibility, and a passion for teaching and inspiring students in diverse subjects.
- Familiarity with integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning in all three subject areas.
- Strong organizational skills to manage the demands of teaching multiple subjects and preparing related materials.
Working Conditions
