English Teacher
Job Summary:
The English Teacher will teach English language and literature to students, develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and maintain a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will have excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong passion for English language and literature.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching:
Teach English language and literature to students, including lectures, discussions, and writing workshops.
1. Lesson Planning:
Develop and implement lesson plans, including creating instructional materials, assessments, and evaluations.
1. Assessment and Evaluation:
Assess student progress, including grading assignments, quizzes, and exams, and providing constructive feedback.
1. Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and respectful learning environment, including managing classroom behavior, promoting student engagement, and ensuring student safety.
1. Communication:
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, including providing regular progress updates, responding to inquiries, and participating in parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements:
1. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
1. Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience teaching English language and literature.
1. Skills:
Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of English language and literature, including grammar, syntax, and literary analysis.
Ability to work effectively with diverse students, including those with varying learning styles, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree:
Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
1. Certification:
Certification in teaching English as a second language (TESL) or English language arts.
1. Experience with Educational Technology:
Experience with educational technology, including learning management systems and online instructional tools.
