Head of Curriculum
Job Summary:
The Head of Curriculum is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s curriculum. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the development, review, and revision of the school’s curriculum, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and regulations
– Collaborate with teachers, department heads, and other stakeholders to design and implement engaging, challenging, and relevant learning experiences
– Develop and manage curriculum budgets, resources, and timelines
– Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to support teacher growth and curriculum implementation
– Analyze student data and assessment results to inform curriculum decisions and improvements
– Communicate curriculum information and updates to parents, students, and the wider school community
– Stay up-to-date with curriculum trends, research, and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform school curriculum decisions
Requirements:
– Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field
– Proven experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
– Strong understanding of curriculum design principles, pedagogy, and assessment strategies
– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Experience with curriculum management software and technologies
Desirable:
– Experience in a senior leadership role in education
– Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards
– Knowledge of diverse curriculum frameworks and models
– Experience in teaching and learning in a variety of settings
