Controller of Examination
Job Summary:
The Controller of Examinations is a senior administrative position responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and conduct of examinations within the university. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Examination Administration:
– Plan, organize, and conduct examinations, including scheduling, venue management, and invigilation.
– Develop and implement examination policies and procedures.
– Ensure the security and integrity of examination materials and processes.
1. Examination Scheduling:
– Prepare and publish examination timetables.
– Ensure that examination schedules are conflict-free and meet the needs of students and faculty.
– Coordinate with faculty members to resolve examination scheduling conflicts.
1. Examination Results:
– Oversee the processing and publication of examination results.
– Ensure that examination results are accurate, reliable, and meet the requirements of the university’s grading policies.
– Coordinate with faculty members to resolve examination result disputes.
1. Examination Security:
– Develop and implement measures to prevent examination malpractice and ensure the security of examination materials.
– Investigate allegations of examination malpractice and recommend disciplinary action as necessary.
– Collaborate with faculty members and other stakeholders to promote a culture of academic integrity.
1. Stakeholder Engagement:
– Communicate with students, faculty, and other stakeholders about examination policies, procedures, and schedules.
– Provide guidance and support to students and faculty on examination-related matters.
– Foster positive relationships with external partners, including examination boards and regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
1. Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, business, or public administration.
– Master’s degree preferred.
1. Experience:
– At least 5 years of experience in examination administration or a related field.
– Experience in a higher education institution preferred.
1. Skills:
– Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced academic environment.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
– Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
