Principal
Job Summary:
The Principal is the chief administrative officer of the school, responsible for providing educational leadership, managing school operations, and promoting a positive school culture. The Principal will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, parents, and the community to achieve the school’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Educational Leadership:
Provide visionary leadership to promote academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement school-wide initiatives to enhance student learning, engagement, and achievement.
1. Instructional Supervision:
Supervise and evaluate instructional staff to ensure effective teaching practices and high-quality instruction.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to support teacher growth and development.
1. School Operations:
Manage school operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and facilities management.
Ensure compliance with district policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
1. Communication and Community Relations:
Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and the community to promote a positive school culture and build partnerships.
Respond to concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair, timely, and professional manner.
1. Student Services:
Oversee student services, including counseling, discipline, and attendance.
Ensure that students receive support and resources to promote academic success, social-emotional growth, and post-secondary readiness.
Requirements:
1. Education:
Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
Doctoral degree preferred.
1. Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in educational leadership, teaching, or a related field.
Experience as a principal, assistant principal, or department chair preferred.
1. Certification:
Valid state principal certification or eligibility for certification.
1. Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and the community.
Proficiency in educational technology, data analysis, and budgeting software.
