Controller of Examinations

Job Summary:

The Controller of Examinations is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and administration of all examinations within the institution. This includes developing and implementing examination policies, managing examination schedules, and ensuring the integrity and security of the examination process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Examination Planning and Organization:

Develop and implement examination policies, procedures, and regulations.

Plan and coordinate examination schedules, venues, and logistics.

Ensure the availability of necessary resources, including examination materials, equipment, and personnel.

1. Examination Administration:

Oversee the administration of examinations, including the distribution of examination materials, the supervision of examination sessions, and the collection of examination scripts.

Ensure the integrity and security of the examination process, including the prevention of cheating and the maintenance of confidentiality.

1. Examination Results and Certification:

Oversee the processing and release of examination results.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of examination results.

Coordinate the issuance of certificates and transcripts.

1. Examination Policy and Procedure Development:

Develop and review examination policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with academic departments to develop and implement examination policies and procedures.

1. Staff Management:

Supervise and manage examination staff, including examination invigilators, markers, and other support staff.

Provide training and development opportunities to examination staff.

Requirements:

1. Education:

Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.

1. Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in examination administration, educational administration, or a related field.

Experience in managing examination processes, including examination planning, organization, and administration.

1. Skills:

Excellent organizational, planning, and management skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in examination management software and other relevant technologies.
