Physics Teacher

Job Summary:

The Teacher (Physics) is responsible for teaching physics to students in a dynamic and engaging manner. This role involves planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of the science curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Learning:

Plan and deliver physics lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.

Use a range of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote learning.

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.

1. Curriculum Development:

Contribute to the development and review of the science curriculum, including the physics syllabus.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive science program.

1. Student Support:

Provide individual support to students who require extra help or have special needs.

Encourage students to participate in science-related extracurricular activities, such as science fairs and competitions.

1. Classroom Management:

Maintain a safe and well-organized classroom environment that promotes learning and minimizes disruptions.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Requirements:

1. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field.

Master’s degree or higher preferred.

1. Experience:

At least 2-3 years of experience teaching physics to students of varying ages and abilities.

Experience with curriculum development and implementation.

1. Skills:

Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of physics and science education.

Ability to use technology to support teaching and learning.

Proficiency in classroom management and student assessment techniques.

Certifications/Licenses:

Valid teaching certification or license in Physics or Science Education.
