Skilled Event Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Event Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events, conferences, and meetings that exceed our clients’ expectations. The Event Manager will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution, while also providing exceptional customer service and ensuring profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning and Coordination:
– Meet with clients to discuss event objectives, goals, and requirements.
– Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics.
– Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure event execution.
– Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure event spaces meet requirements.
2. Client Management:
– Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
– Communicate event details, timelines, and updates to clients.
– Manage client expectations and resolve any issues that may arise.
3. Vendor Management:
– Research, recommend, and manage vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
– Negotiate contracts, prices, and services with vendors.
– Ensure vendors meet event requirements and deadlines.
4. Event Execution:
– Oversee event setup, registration, and logistics.
– Manage event staff, volunteers, and vendors.
– Ensure event runs smoothly on time, and within budget.
– Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the event.
5. Budgeting and Financial Management:
– Develop and manage event budgets, including forecasting revenue and expenses.
– Ensure events are profitable and meet financial goals.
– Manage event finances, including invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
6. Marketing and Promotion:
– Assist in promoting events through social media, email marketing, and other channels.
– Develop marketing materials, including event websites, brochures, and flyers.
– Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
7. Risk Management:
– Identify and mitigate potential risks, including safety, security, and logistical risks.
– Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure event continuity.
– Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
1. Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Experience:
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience in event management, planning, or coordination.
– Proven track record of successfully managing events, conferences, and meetings.
3. Skills:
– Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
– Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
– Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
– Proficient in event management software, including registration, ticketing, and marketing tools.
4. Certifications:
– Certified Event Planner (CEP) or Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation preferred.
5. Physical Demands:
– Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
– Ability to lift, carry, and move event equipment, supplies, and materials.

– Work from office, event venues, and other locations as required.
