Registrar

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Registrar to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the registration process, maintaining accurate student records, and ensuring compliance with academic policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Registration and Enrollment

– Oversee the registration process, including course scheduling and student enrollment.
– Ensure accurate and timely processing of student registrations, drops, and withdrawals.
– Coordinate with academic departments to resolve registration issues.

Student Records

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including transcripts and diplomas.
– Ensure compliance with FERPA regulations and other laws related to student records.
– Provide official transcripts and verification of student enrollment.

Academic Policies and Compliance

– Interpret and implement academic policies and regulations.
– Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
– Provide guidance to students, faculty, and staff on academic policies and procedures.

Degree Audit and Graduation

– Oversee the degree audit process to ensure students are meeting graduation requirements.
– Coordinate commencement ceremonies and ensure accurate preparation of diplomas.

Reporting and Data Analysis

– Provide data and reports on student enrollment, retention, and graduation rates.
– Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

Education

– Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., higher education administration, student affairs).
– Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

– At least 3-5 years of experience in a registrar’s office or related field.
– Experience with student information systems (SIS) and other software applications.

Skills

– Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
