Vice Chancellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to serve as Vice Chancellor of our institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to various aspects of university operations, including academic affairs, research, student affairs, and administrative services. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and management experience in higher education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

– Provide strategic leadership and vision to the university, aligning with the institution’s mission and goals
– Collaborate with the Chancellor/President, other Vice Chancellors, and senior administrators to develop and implement university-wide initiatives and policies

Academic Affairs

– Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs and policies
– Ensure academic quality and integrity, including accreditation and assessment processes
– Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship

Research and Innovation

– Promote and support research and innovation across the university
– Foster partnerships with industry, government, and other stakeholders to advance research and economic development
– Ensure compliance with research policies and regulations

Student Affairs

– Oversee the development and implementation of student affairs policies and programs
– Ensure a positive and inclusive student experience, including student life, student conduct, and support services
– Foster a culture of student engagement, leadership, and success

Administrative Services

– Oversee the management of administrative services, including human resources, finance, facilities, and information technology
– Ensure effective and efficient operations, including budgeting, planning, and risk management

Requirements:

Education

– Earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution
– Relevant academic and administrative experience in higher education

Experience

– At least 10 years of progressive leadership and management experience in higher education
– Proven track record of strategic leadership, academic administration, and student affairs

Skills

– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
– Strong strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work effectively in a complex, dynamic environment
– Deep commitment to academic excellence, student success, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
