Lecturer in Biochemistry
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Biochemistry to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service to the university and the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to academic excellence, a proven track record of research and publication, and excellent teaching and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
– Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biochemistry, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions.
– Develop and implement innovative and effective teaching methods.
– Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Research and Scholarship
– Conduct original research in biochemistry and publish scholarly articles.
– Present research at conferences and seminars.
– Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects.
Service
– Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
– Participate in community outreach and engagement activities.
– Contribute to the development of the department, including curriculum development and program assessment.
Requirements:
Education
– Earned doctoral degree in biochemistry or a related field.
– Relevant postdoctoral experience preferred.
Experience
– At least 2 years of experience in teaching and research.
– Proven track record of research productivity and teaching effectiveness.
Skills
