Lecturer
Job Summary:
The Lecturer is responsible for teaching and educating students in a specific academic discipline. The Lecturer will deliver high-quality instruction, develop and teach courses, and assess student learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the academic discipline.
2. Course Development: Develop and revise courses to ensure relevance, rigor, and currency.
3. Curriculum Design: Participate in curriculum design and development to ensure alignment with departmental and institutional goals.
4. Student Assessment: Assess student learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
5. Advising: Advise students on academic matters, including course selection and career goals.
6. Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work and community outreach.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Master’s degree in the relevant academic discipline (Ph.D. preferred).
2. Teaching Experience: Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
3. Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in the academic discipline.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Industry Experience: Relevant industry experience.
2. Research Experience: Research experience in the academic discipline.
3. Teaching Awards: Teaching awards or recognition for teaching excellence.
