Computer Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Computer Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching computer science and technology courses to students of various ages and skill levels, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love of technology in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach Computer Science and Technology Courses: Teach computer science and technology courses to students of various ages and skill levels, including programming, web development, and computer literacy.
2. Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with state and national technology education standards.
3. Assess Student Progress: Assess student progress and understanding of computer science and technology concepts, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
4. Foster Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students, encouraging them to approach technological problems with logic, creativity, and persistence.
5. Classroom Management: Manage the computer laboratory, maintaining a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment.
6. Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, share best practices, and support student learning.
7. Communicate with Parents: Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student progress, sharing insights into their child’s learning, and involving them in the educational process.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
2. Teaching Certification: Valid teaching certification in Computer Science or a related field.
3. Teaching Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a middle school or high school setting.
4. Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and understanding of computer science and technology concepts, including programming languages, data structures, and software development.
5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
