Admissions Counselor
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Admissions Counselor to join our admissions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting and advising prospective students, reviewing applications, and making admission decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment: Represent the institution at college fairs, high schools, and other recruitment events to promote the institution and its programs.
2. Application Review: Review applications for admission, including transcripts, test scores, and other supporting documents.
3. Admission Decisions: Make admission decisions based on institutional policies and procedures.
4. Student Advising: Advise prospective students and their families on the admission process, academic programs, and financial aid.
5. Communication: Communicate with prospective students, families, and school counselors via phone, email, and in-person.
6. Data Analysis: Analyze data to inform recruitment strategies and admission decisions.
7. Campus Events: Participate in campus events, including open houses, orientation, and yield events.
Requirements
1. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field.
3. Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
4. Knowledge: Knowledge of admission policies, procedures, and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
1. Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in a related field.
2. Experience in Higher Education: Experience working in higher education, preferably in admissions or recruitment.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, data analysis tools, and other admissions-related technology.
