Controller of Examinations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Controller of Examinations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and administration of all examinations, ensuring that they are conducted fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with the institution’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Examination Planning and Organization:

– Plan and coordinate the scheduling of examinations, including the preparation of examination timetables and the allocation of examination venues.
– Ensure that all examination materials, including question papers, answer scripts, and examination instructions, are prepared and distributed in a timely and efficient manner.
– Coordinate with academic departments to ensure that examination requirements are met and that examination materials are received and processed correctly.

Examination Administration:

– Oversee the administration of examinations, including the supervision of examination invigilators and the management of examination venues.
– Ensure that all examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with the institution’s policies and procedures.
– Investigate and resolve any examination-related issues or complaints.

Examination Results and Certification:

– Oversee the processing and release of examination results, including the preparation of examination transcripts and the awarding of degrees and certificates.
– Ensure that all examination results are accurate and reliable, and that any errors or discrepancies are identified and corrected.
– Coordinate with academic departments to ensure that examination results are received and processed correctly.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

– Ensure that all examination processes and procedures are compliant with the institution’s policies and procedures, as well as relevant external regulations and standards.
– Conduct regular reviews and audits of examination processes and procedures to ensure that they are effective and efficient.
– Identify and implement improvements to examination processes and procedures as needed.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, business, or public administration.
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience in examination administration or a related field.
– Strong knowledge of examination administration principles and practices.

Skills:

– Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Experience with examination software and systems.

Knowledge:

– Strong knowledge of examination administration principles and practices.
– Understanding of relevant external regulations and standards, such as those related to data protection and equality.
– Familiarity with quality assurance and compliance principles and practices.
