Statistics Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statistics Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing statistical studies, analyzing data, and interpreting results to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Statistical Analysis:

– Design and implement statistical studies to address business questions and objectives
– Collect and analyze data from various sources, including surveys, experiments, and observational studies
– Apply statistical techniques, such as regression, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals, to analyze data
– Interpret results and communicate findings to stakeholders

Data Management:

– Develop and maintain databases to store and manage data
– Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleaning procedures
– Collaborate with data stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and completeness

Reporting and Communication:

– Prepare and present reports to stakeholders, including data visualizations and statistical summaries
– Communicate complex statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
– Develop and maintain documentation of statistical methods and results

Collaboration and Consultation:

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement statistical studies
– Provide statistical consulting services to stakeholders, including study design, data analysis, and results interpretation
– Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand their statistical needs and provide tailored support

Requirements:

Qualifications:

– Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a statistical role, preferably in a business or industry setting
– Strong knowledge of statistical theory and methods, including regression, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals

Skills:

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in statistical software, such as R, SAS, or Python

Knowledge:

– Strong knowledge of statistical theory and methods
– Understanding of data management principles and practices
– Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques

Desired Qualifications:

– Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques
– Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools
– Certification in statistics or a related field, such as the Certified Statistical Analyst (CSA) or the Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
