Vice Chancellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished academic leader to join our team as Vice Chancellor. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and vision to the university, working closely with the Chancellor and other senior leaders to drive academic excellence, innovation, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

– Provide strategic leadership and vision to the university, aligning with the institution’s mission and goals
– Work closely with the Chancellor and other senior leaders to develop and implement the university’s strategic plan
– Foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and excellence across the university

Academic Excellence:

– Oversee the development and implementation of academic programs and policies, ensuring academic excellence and rigor
– Work with deans and faculty members to promote academic innovation, research, and scholarship
– Foster collaborations and partnerships with other institutions, industry, and government to advance academic excellence

Student Success:

– Provide leadership and vision for student success initiatives, ensuring that students have access to high-quality academic programs, support services, and career opportunities
– Work with faculty and staff to promote student engagement, retention, and graduation
– Foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and social responsibility across the university

Research and Innovation:

– Provide leadership and vision for research and innovation initiatives, ensuring that the university is a leader in research and innovation
– Work with faculty and staff to promote research excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship
– Foster collaborations and partnerships with industry, government, and other institutions to advance research and innovation

External Relations:

– Represent the university externally, building relationships with government, industry, and other institutions
– Foster partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders to advance the university’s mission and goals
– Promote the university’s brand and reputation globally

Requirements:

Qualifications:

– Earned doctorate from an accredited institution
– Minimum 10-15 years of experience in higher education, with a strong record of academic leadership and achievement
– Proven track record of success in driving academic excellence, innovation, and growth

Skills:

– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
– Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders
– Experience with budget management and financial planning

Knowledge:

– Strong knowledge of higher education trends, policies, and best practices
– Understanding of academic programs, research, and innovation
– Familiarity with accreditation and quality assurance processes

Desired Qualifications:

– Experience with internationalization and global partnerships
– Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning platforms
– Certification in academic leadership or a related field
