Lecturer in Computer Science
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Computer Science to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, researching, and contributing to the development of our computer science programs.
Key Responsibilities
– Teach a range of computer science courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
– Develop and deliver high-quality lecture materials, assignments, and assessments
– Supervise student projects and dissertations
– Conduct research in computer science and publish papers in reputable conferences and journals
– Contribute to the development of new courses and programs
– Participate in departmental and faculty meetings
– Engage in outreach and promotional activities to attract students and promote the department
Requirements
– PhD in Computer Science or a related field
– Strong teaching and research experience in computer science
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– Strong publication record in reputable conferences and journals
– Familiarity with curriculum development and accreditation processes
Desired Qualifications
– Experience in teaching a range of computer science topics, including programming, algorithms, data structures, computer systems, and software engineering
– Expertise in one or more areas of computer science, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, or human-computer interaction
– Experience in supervising student projects and dissertations
– Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technologies
