Job Overview: The Principal is responsible for the overall management of the school, ensuring that it provides a safe, effective, and positive learning environment for students. The principal leads instructional staff, sets the educational tone, implements curriculum, oversees school policies, and serves as the primary liaison between the school and parents, students, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to faculty and staff to ensure the academic success and emotional well-being of students.
- Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Foster a positive school culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
- Ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors in the school environment.

Curriculum & Instruction:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s curriculum to ensure alignment with state and national standards.
- Evaluate and support instructional practices, including classroom observations and providing feedback to teachers.
- Encourage innovative teaching strategies and the use of educational technology.
- Promote continuous professional development for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Student Discipline & Behavior:
- Establish clear school policies regarding student behavior and discipline.
- Resolve disciplinary issues and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all students.
- Work with staff, parents, and students to address behavioral issues and encourage positive behavior.
- Support programs that promote student mental health and emotional well-being.

Staff Supervision & Development:
- Hire, train, and evaluate faculty and support staff.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Foster a collaborative environment where teachers and staff can share ideas and best practices.
- Ensure that all staff are following the policies and regulations of the school and district.

Community & Parent Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, students, and the broader community.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, students, and community members.
- Promote parent involvement in school activities and decision-making processes.
- Represent the school at local community events and school district meetings.

Budget & Resource Management:
- Oversee the school’s budget, ensuring funds are allocated effectively to support educational programs and school activities.
- Ensure that the school has the resources necessary for successful operations, including teaching materials, technology, and facilities.
- Work with district officials to secure funding and resources.

Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure the school complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety, academic standards, and staffing.
- Prepare reports for the school district, government agencies, and other stakeholders as required.
- Ensure that the school’s records, including student data, are maintained accurately and confidentially.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
- Valid state certification as a principal or school administrator.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in teaching and/or educational administration.
