Admission Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admission Officer to join our admissions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the admission process, reviewing applications, and making admission decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Review: Review and evaluate applications for admission, ensuring that all required documents and materials are submitted.
2. Admission Decisions: Make admission decisions, taking into account academic qualifications, test scores, and other relevant factors.
3. Communication with Applicants: Communicate with applicants, providing updates on the status of their applications and responding to inquiries.
4. Recruitment and Outreach: Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts, representing the institution at college fairs, high schools, and other events.
5. Data Management: Manage and analyze data related to admissions, including application trends and yield rates.
6. Collaboration with Faculty and Staff: Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to ensure that admission decisions align with institutional goals and objectives.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree: Earned bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, communications, or business.
2. Admissions Experience: Experience in admissions, either in higher education or a related field.
3. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with applicants, families, and colleagues.
4. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with the ability to accurately review and evaluate applications.

Desired Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree: Earned master’s degree in a relevant field, such as higher education administration or counseling.
2. Experience with CRM Software: Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Slate or Jenzabar.
3. Knowledge of Admission Software: Familiarity with admission software, such as Common App or Coalition App.
4. Bilingual or Multilingual: Ability to communicate in multiple languages, with a focus on languages spoken by our applicant pool.
