Security Guard
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard to join our security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patrol Premises: Patrol the premises, including buildings, grounds, and parking areas, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, damage, or other security breaches.
2. Monitor CCTV: Monitor CCTV cameras and alarms to identify potential security threats.
3. Control Access: Control access to the premises, including screening visitors, employees, and contractors.
4. Respond to Incidents: Respond promptly to security incidents, such as alarms, fires, or medical emergencies.
5. Write Reports: Write incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related events.
6. Collaborate with Law Enforcement: Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to investigate and respond to security incidents.
7. Provide Assistance: Provide assistance to employees and visitors, including directions, information, and support.
Requirements
1. High School Diploma: Earned high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Security Training: Completed security training program, such as Security Guard Training or equivalent.
3. Licensure: Possess valid security guard licensure, if required by state or local regulations.
4. Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and respond quickly to emergencies.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, visitors, and law enforcement.
Desired Qualifications
1. Experience in Security: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
2. CPR/First Aid Certification: Possess valid CPR/First Aid certification.
3. Knowledge of Security Systems: Familiarity with security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control.
4. Bilingual or Multilingual: Ability to communicate in multiple languages, with a focus on languages spoken by our employees and visitors.
