IT Customer Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused IT Customer Support Engineer to provide technical support and assistance to our customers. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, provide training and guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, and chat.
2. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
3. Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to customers on product usage, configuration, and troubleshooting.
4. Issue Resolution: Resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and development, to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science: Earned bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. Technical Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in technical support, customer service, or a related field.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), software applications, and networking protocols.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

1. Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft MCSA.
2. Cloud Computing Experience: Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
3. Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and automation tools, such as Ansible or Puppet.
4. ITIL Foundation Certification: Possession of ITIL Foundation certification, demonstrating knowledge of IT service management best practices.
