English Lecturer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated English Lecturer to join our English Department. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in English language and literature, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in English language and literature, including composition, literature, and linguistics.
2. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of the English curriculum, including creating new courses and revising existing ones.
3. Research: Conduct research in English language and literature, with a focus on publishing scholarly articles in reputable journals.
4. Mentoring: Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, including supervising research projects and theses.
5. Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work and community outreach.
Requirements
1. Ph.D. in English: Earned Ph.D. in English language and literature or a related field.
2. Teaching Experience: Demonstrated teaching experience, with a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
3. Research Experience: Demonstrated research experience, with a strong record of publication and potential for securing external funding.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
