Deputy Director

Job Summary:

The Deputy Director of QEC is responsible for ensuring the quality of academic programs and promoting a culture of quality enhancement within the institution. This involves implementing quality assurance processes, conducting evaluations, and providing recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance
1. Develop and implement quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to maintain high standards of education.
2. Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance Manual of the Higher Education Commission.
3. Conduct annual monitoring and evaluation, including program monitoring, faculty monitoring, and student perception.

Self-Assessment Reports
1. Prepare Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) for programs, keeping in view the requirements laid down in the Quality Assurance Manual.
2. Ensure that SARs are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted on time.

Collaboration and Communication
1. Act as a correspondent with outside bodies, such as the Higher Education Commission.
2. Collaborate with faculty members and students to ensure quality enhancement.
3. Provide recommendations for improvement to the Director QEC and other stakeholders.

Reporting and Documentation
1. Submit fortnightly reports of QEC activities to seniors.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of QEC activities, including minutes of meetings, reports, and correspondence.

Requirements:

1. Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree (18 years of education) or above from a recognized university.
2. Relevant Experience: At least 7 years of relevant experience from a reputed university or institution.
3. Research and Analytical Skills: Strong research and analytical skills.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ph.D.: A Ph.D. degree from a recognized university.
2. Experience in Quality Assurance: Experience in quality assurance, accreditation, or a related field.
3. Knowledge of HEC Policies: Familiarity with the Higher Education Commission’s policies and procedures.
