Lecturer
Job Summary:
The Lecturer will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, develop curriculum, and engage in service activities. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, a desire to contribute to the growth and development of the department, and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in a specific discipline or field.
2. Curriculum Development: Develop and revise curriculum to ensure that courses and programs are relevant, innovative, and meet the needs of students and the field.
3. Student Advising: Advise students on academic and career matters.
4. Service: Engage in service activities, such as serving on departmental and university committees, participating in professional organizations, and contributing to community outreach and engagement.
5. Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
Requirements:
1. Education: Master’s degree in the relevant discipline or field (Ph.D. preferred).
2. Teaching Experience: Significant teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment and promoting diversity and equity.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Professional Experience: Professional experience in the relevant field or industry.
2. Certifications: Certifications or licenses relevant to the discipline or field.
3. Language Skills: Proficiency in a language other than English.
