Controller of Examinations

Job Summary:

The Controller of Examinations is responsible for overseeing and managing the examination process, ensuring the smooth conduct of exams, and maintaining the integrity and security of the examination system.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Examination Planning: Plan and coordinate the examination schedule, ensuring timely and efficient conduct of exams.
2. Examination Administration: Oversee the administration of exams, including venue setup, invigilation, and exam material distribution.
3. Question Paper Management: Manage the development, printing, and distribution of question papers, ensuring security and confidentiality.
4. Result Processing: Oversee the processing and declaration of examination results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Examination Security: Ensure the security and integrity of the examination process, preventing malpractices and irregularities.
6. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders, including students, faculty, and external examiners, to ensure smooth examination operations.
7. Policy Development: Develop and implement examination policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

1. Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, management, or administration.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in examination administration, education management, or a related field.
3. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and planning skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
4. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
5. Integrity and Confidentiality: High level of integrity and confidentiality, with ability to maintain secrecy and security of examination materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in Examination Administration: Certification in examination administration, such as the Certified Examination Administrator (CEA) designation.
2. Experience with Examination Software: Experience with examination software and technology, such as online examination platforms.
3. Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards governing examination administration.
4. Leadership Experience: Experience in leading and managing teams, with ability to motivate and guide staff.
