Lecturer in Economics
Job Summary:
The Lecturer in Economics will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, including principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, econometrics, and economic theory. The Lecturer will also contribute to the development of the economics program and participate in departmental service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, including principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics, econometrics, and economic theory.
2. Course Development: Develop and revise courses to ensure that they are relevant, innovative, and meet the needs of students and the industry.
3. Student Advising: Advise undergraduate and graduate students in their academic and career pursuits.
4. Research: Conduct research in economics and publish in academic journals.
5. Departmental Service: Participate in departmental service, including serving on committees and contributing to departmental initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Education: Master’s degree in Economics or a related field.
2. Teaching Experience: Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in economics.
3. Research Experience: Experience conducting research in economics and publishing in academic journals.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Economics: Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.
2. Experience with Econometrics: Experience with econometrics and statistical analysis.
3. Experience with Economic Theory: Experience with economic theory and its applications.
4. Experience with Curriculum Development: Experience developing and revising curriculum.
