 Vice Principal

Job Summary:

The Vice Principal plays a key leadership role in supporting the Principal in the overall administration, academic development, and day-to-day management of the school or college. The role involves fostering a positive and disciplined learning environment, implementing academic policies, managing staff and students, and ensuring the smooth operation of institutional activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Principal in planning, organizing, and overseeing all academic and administrative functions of the institution.

  • Supervise teaching and non-teaching staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.

  • Monitor classroom instruction, student performance, and curriculum delivery to maintain academic standards.

  • Address student behavior, discipline, and attendance issues in alignment with institutional policies.

  • Coordinate internal assessments, examinations, timetables, and academic calendars.

  • Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability across departments.

  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, students, parents, and the school administration.

  • Ensure compliance with institutional, local, and national regulations, including safety and welfare standards.

  • Lead or participate in committees related to curriculum development, teacher evaluation, student affairs, and strategic planning.

  • Support the implementation of new technologies and modern pedagogical approaches.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related discipline; a Ph.D. or Ed.D. is a plus.

  • Proven experience in teaching and academic administration.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of curriculum development, assessment practices, and school operations.

  • Ability to handle conflicts, make data-driven decisions, and lead change initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a department head, coordinator, or other school leadership role.

  • Familiarity with school accreditation processes and quality assurance frameworks.

  • Exposure to digital learning environments and school management systems.

  • Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.
