Manager

Job Summary:

The Manager of Student Services is responsible for overseeing and enhancing student support operations to ensure a positive and successful student experience. This role manages a wide range of services, including counseling, advising, student engagement, and welfare programs. The manager acts as a key liaison between students and the institution, advocating for student needs and fostering a supportive campus environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage student services programs to support academic success and personal development.

  • Supervise student support staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality services (e.g., counseling, advising, orientation, housing, career services).

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the student experience.

  • Address student concerns, resolve issues, and ensure appropriate support mechanisms are in place.

  • Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to support student retention and success initiatives.

  • Organize student events, workshops, and wellness programs to foster community and engagement.

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on student services, trends, and outcomes.

  • Ensure services are inclusive and accessible to all students, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in student support services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of student development, academic advising, and campus life issues.

  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in student services and welfare.
