Head of Marketing and Admissions

Job Description:

The Head of Marketing and Admissions is responsible for leading and overseeing the marketing and admissions departments to drive student recruitment, enhance institutional branding, and manage the admissions process. This role involves strategic planning, developing marketing campaigns, and ensuring that the institution attracts and admits the right students while promoting its programs and mission effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership:

    • Develop and implement the strategic marketing and admissions plan to meet enrollment targets and institutional goals.

    • Lead, manage, and mentor the marketing and admissions teams, ensuring clear objectives and high performance.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing and admissions strategies with the overall goals of the institution.

  • Marketing Strategy and Campaigns:

    • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the institution’s programs, events, and unique offerings.

    • Develop content and manage advertising efforts across digital, print, social media, and other platforms.

    • Ensure brand consistency and the effective use of institutional messaging in all marketing materials.

  • Student Recruitment and Admissions Management:

    • Drive strategies for recruiting prospective students through targeted outreach efforts (e.g., school visits, fairs, webinars).

    • Manage the entire admissions process, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students from inquiry to enrollment.

    • Collaborate with faculty and other departments to identify student recruitment needs and opportunities.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze marketing performance and enrollment trends to inform decision-making and optimize strategies.

    • Use data to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, admissions processes, and overall student satisfaction.

    • Report regularly to senior leadership on marketing and admissions performance, challenges, and achievements.

  • Brand and Reputation Management:

    • Act as a key ambassador for the institution, maintaining and enhancing its reputation through strategic marketing initiatives.

    • Develop partnerships with key stakeholders, including high schools, universities, and industry organizations, to expand the institution’s reach.

    • Coordinate with alumni and current students to generate positive testimonials and promote the institution.

  • Technology and Innovation:

    • Leverage technology, including CRM systems, social media, and digital platforms, to improve marketing and admissions processes.

    • Stay informed on industry trends and new technologies to continuously innovate recruitment and marketing efforts.

    • Manage the institution’s website, social media presence, and other digital platforms to ensure they are engaging and informative for prospective students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, admissions, or student recruitment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing campaigns and achieving enrollment targets.

  • Strong understanding of market trends, admissions processes, and student recruitment strategies.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends to optimize strategies.

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., social media, SEO, email marketing, etc.).

  • Ability to build relationships with external partners, staff, faculty, and prospective students.

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
