Position Overview:
The Lab Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a laboratory, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-organized environment for teaching, research, or testing. The role includes supervising lab staff or students, maintaining equipment, enforcing safety protocols, and supporting experiments and practical sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage laboratory activities, including scheduling, equipment use, and maintenance.

• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety standards and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.

• Assist faculty, researchers, or students with setting up and conducting experiments.

• Maintain an inventory of lab supplies and equipment; order materials as needed.

• Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and tools.

• Train students or new lab personnel on equipment usage, safety procedures, and best practices.

• Maintain accurate records of experiments, safety checks, and maintenance logs.

• Collaborate with academic departments for curriculum-based lab session planning.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.

• Previous laboratory experience, preferably in an academic or research setting.

• Strong knowledge of lab safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with laboratory instruments, software, and data recording systems.

• Ability to manage time, supervise multiple tasks, and support a team environment.
