Academic Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to academic departments, faculty members, and students, ensuring the smooth operation of academic programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
– Provide administrative support to academic departments, faculty members, and students
– Manage and maintain academic records, including student records, course schedules, and faculty workload
– Coordinate academic events, including lectures, seminars, and conferences
Academic Program Support:
– Assist with the development and implementation of academic programs and services
– Coordinate with faculty members to develop and update course materials and syllabi
– Support the development and delivery of online and hybrid courses
Student Support:
– Provide support to students, including answering questions, resolving issues, and referring students to appropriate resources
– Assist with student registration, enrollment, and graduation processes
– Coordinate with faculty members to provide support to students with academic difficulties
Communication and Collaboration:
– Communicate with faculty members, students, and staff to ensure effective coordination and collaboration
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of academic programs and services
– Represent the academic department at university events and meetings
Data Management and Analysis:
– Manage and analyze data related to academic programs and services
– Provide data-driven insights to inform academic decision-making
– Assist with accreditation and assessment processes
Requirements:
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, business, or communications
– Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an academic setting, preferably in an administrative or support role
– Strong knowledge of academic policies and procedures
Skills:
– Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
Knowledge:
– Strong knowledge of academic policies and procedures
– Understanding of accreditation and assessment processes
– Familiarity with student information systems and other academic software applications
Desired Qualifications:
– Experience with online learning platforms and course management systems
– Familiarity with data analysis and reporting software
– Certification in academic administration or a related field
