Asset Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Asset Officer to manage and maintain our organization’s assets, including property, equipment, and vehicles. The successful candidate will ensure accurate asset tracking, maintenance, and disposal, as well as compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Asset Tracking and Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all organizational assets, including property, equipment, and vehicles.
2. Asset Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for organizational assets, ensuring they are in good working condition.
3. Asset Disposal: Manage the disposal of organizational assets, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
4. Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of asset records.
5. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to asset management, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
6. Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports and analytics on asset utilization, maintenance, and disposal, to support informed decision-making.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including department heads, managers, and employees, to ensure effective asset management and utilization.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree: Earned bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or logistics.
2. Asset Management Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or a related field.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in asset management software, such as AssetWorks, and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Desired Qualifications

1. Certified Asset Manager (CAM): Possession of the Certified Asset Manager (CAM) certification, or willingness to obtain.
2. Experience with ERP Systems: Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
3. Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Knowledge of accounting principles, including asset accounting and financial reporting.
4. Leadership Experience: Experience in leadership roles, such as team lead or supervisor.
