 Assistant Director

Job Description:

The Assistant Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) supports the implementation and monitoring of academic quality assurance policies, institutional performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves coordinating self-assessment processes, data collection, reporting, and liaising with academic and administrative units to ensure compliance with quality standards set by regulatory bodies such as the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures in line with HEC guidelines.

  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) for academic programs.

  • Collect, analyze, and present institutional performance data for internal and external audits.

  • Support departments in conducting surveys such as Student Feedback, Teacher Evaluation, Alumni, and Employer surveys.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities.

  • Monitor progress of action plans developed from assessment reports and audits.

  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on quality assurance and academic improvement.

  • Assist in preparing Annual Monitoring Reports (AMRs), Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) reports, and Program Reviews.

  • Support the Director QEC in achieving the strategic goals of the Quality Enhancement Cell.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in Education, Quality Management, Social Sciences, or a related field (M.Phil./Ph.D. preferred).

  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in academic quality assurance or higher education administration.

  • Familiarity with HEC quality assurance frameworks and accreditation standards.

  • Strong organizational and report-writing skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, Excel).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic departments and administrative units.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Training or certification in Quality Assurance, Assessment, or Institutional Research.

  • Experience in data analysis, survey design, or academic performance evaluation.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and institutional excellence.
