Assistant Director of Academics

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Academics will assist the Director of Academics in overseeing the academic programs and services of the institution. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic Program Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs and services.
2. Curriculum Management: Oversee the management of curriculum development, review, and revision processes.
3. Faculty Support: Provide support and guidance to faculty members on academic matters, including course development and teaching methodologies.
4. Student Academic Support: Oversee the provision of academic support services to students, including academic advising, tutoring, and mentoring.
5. Assessment and Evaluation: Assist in the development and implementation of assessment and evaluation processes to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
6. Accreditation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Budget Management: Assist in the management of academic budgets and resources.
8. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments and units to ensure effective communication and coordination of academic programs and services.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, academic administration).
2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in academic administration, teaching, or a related field.
3. Leadership: Proven leadership and management experience.
4. Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
5. Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Doctoral Degree: Doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, academic administration).
2. Experience in Accreditation: Experience with accreditation processes and procedures.
3. Experience with Academic Technology: Experience with academic technology, including learning management systems and online course development.
