Assistant Professor
Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor is a tenure-track faculty position responsible for teaching, research, and service to the university and the profession. The Assistant Professor will provide expertise and leadership in their field, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, conduct research, and contribute to the department’s and university’s service and outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the department.
Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials, including course notes, assignments, and assessments.
Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
1. Research:
Conduct original research in their field, including the development of research proposals, securing funding, and publishing research outcomes in high-quality journals and conferences.
Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to develop and conduct research projects.
1. Service:
Contribute to the department’s and university’s service and outreach activities.
Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide initiatives and activities.
Provide service to the university and the broader community.
Requirements:
1. Education:
A PhD in the relevant field.
1. Experience:
At least 2 years of experience as a postdoctoral researcher or a faculty member at a university or college.
Experience in teaching, research, and service.
1. Skills:
Strong teaching and communication skills.
Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues and external partners.
