Assistant Professor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Professor to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service to the university and the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to academic excellence, a proven track record of research and publication, and excellent teaching and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
– Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the department
– Develop and implement innovative and effective teaching methods
– Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
Research and Scholarship
– Conduct original research in the field and publish scholarly articles
– Present research at conferences and seminars
– Supervise undergraduate and/or graduate research projects
Service
– Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
– Participate in community outreach and engagement activities
– Contribute to the development of the department, including curriculum development and program assessment
Requirements:
Education
– Earned doctoral degree in the relevant field
– Relevant teaching and research experience
Skills
– Excellent teaching, research, and communication skills
– Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience
– Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels
– Research experience in the field, with a strong publication record
– Experience with curriculum development and program assessment
