Assistant Professor
Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, conduct research in their area of specialization, and contribute to the academic and administrative life of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of specialization.
2. Research: Conduct original research, publish scholarly articles, and present research at conferences.
3. Service: Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work and academic advising.
4. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and revision of curricula.
5. Student Supervision: Supervise undergraduate and graduate students, including thesis and dissertation supervision.
6. Professional Development: Stay current with developments in their field and pursue ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Ph.D. in their field of specialization.
2. Research Experience: Research experience, demonstrated by publications in reputable journals.
3. Teaching Experience: Teaching experience, preferably at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
4. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of their field of specialization.
5. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Postdoctoral Experience: Postdoctoral research experience.
2. Experience with Grants: Experience with grant writing and management.
3. Experience with Technology: Experience with technology, including online learning platforms and multimedia resources.
4. Professional Memberships: Membership in professional organizations.
