Assistant Registrar
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Registrar to provide administrative support to the Registrar’s Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing student records, coordinating registration and enrollment processes, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Records Management: Manage student records, including maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records, processing transcript requests, and verifying student enrollment.
2. Registration and Enrollment: Coordinate registration and enrollment processes, including course scheduling, room assignments, and student registration.
3. Compliance and Policy: Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures, including FERPA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and report on enrollment data, student outcomes, and other relevant metrics to support institutional decision-making.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other departments to ensure seamless registration and enrollment processes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and provide information.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree: Earned bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as higher education administration, business, or public administration.
2. Experience in Higher Education: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in higher education administration, preferably in a registrar’s office or related role.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in student information systems, such as Banner, Jenzabar, or Colleague, and experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Desired Qualifications
1. Master’s Degree: Earned master’s degree in a relevant field, such as higher education administration, business, or public administration.
2. Experience with Accreditation: Experience with accreditation processes and procedures, including data collection and reporting.
3. Leadership Experience: Experience in leadership roles, such as supervising staff or leading projects.
4. Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications, such as the Certified Registrar (CR) or the Certified Associate Registrar (CAR).
