Assistant Registrar

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Registrar to support the management and coordination of academic records, student registration, and examination processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Registrar and academic departments to ensure the efficient delivery of administrative services and compliance with institutional policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing the registration and enrollment processes for students.

• Maintain and update academic records and student information systems.

• Coordinate the scheduling, administration, and logistics of examinations.

• Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of academic records.

• Provide support for graduation and certification processes.

• Liaise with faculty, students, and administrative staff to resolve queries.

• Prepare and analyze reports on student enrollment, academic performance, and other metrics.

• Assist in the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures.

• Support audits and accreditation processes as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Proven experience in academic administration or registrar’s office functions.

• Proficiency in student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.

Desirable Attributes:

• Knowledge of academic policies, examination regulations, and FERPA or other student data privacy laws.

• Experience in higher education administration.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Familiarity with digital records management systems.
