Associate Professor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Associate Professor to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service activities in their area of expertise. They will contribute to the development of the department’s academic programs and provide leadership and mentorship to students and junior faculty members.

Key Responsibilities:

– Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise, including:
– Developing and delivering lectures, tutorials, and seminars.
– Preparing and grading assignments and exams.
– Providing feedback and guidance to students.
– Conduct research and scholarly activities, including:
– Publishing research papers and articles.
– Presenting at conferences and workshops.
– Securing research funding and grants.
– Contribute to the development of the department’s academic programs, including:
– Participating in curriculum development and review.
– Developing new courses and programs.
– Evaluating and improving existing programs.
– Provide leadership and mentorship to students and junior faculty members, including:
– Advising and guiding students.
– Mentoring junior faculty members.
– Contributing to the development of students’ and junior faculty members’ research and teaching skills.
– Participate in departmental and university service, including:
– Serving on departmental and university committees.
– Participating in academic events and activities.
– Contributing to the development of the university’s strategic plans and policies.

Requirements:

– Ph.D. in their area of expertise.
– 5+ years of teaching experience at the university level.
– Strong research and publication record.
– Excellent teaching and communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation.
– Familiarity with online and blended learning environments.
– Experience with research funding and grant writing.
– Leadership and administrative experience.
