Biomedical Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment and devices.
Key Responsibilities:
– Install, maintain, and repair medical equipment and devices, including diagnostic and therapeutic equipment
– Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on medical equipment
– Troubleshoot and repair complex medical equipment faults
– Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure medical equipment meets their needs
– Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
– Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve medical equipment maintenance and repair
Requirements:
– Associate’s degree in Biomedical Technology, Electronics, or a related field
– Certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES)
– At least 2 years of experience as a biomedical technician
– Strong knowledge of medical equipment and devices, including diagnostic and therapeutic equipment
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
– Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting
– Familiarity with medical equipment management software
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
