Biomedical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating medical equipment to ensure safe and effective operation. They will work closely with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve equipment issues, perform routine inspections, and implement equipment upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

– Maintain, repair, and calibrate medical equipment, including:
– Troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
– Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
– Calibrating and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to:
– Identify equipment needs and priorities.
– Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules.
– Provide training on equipment operation and maintenance.
– Manage equipment inventory and documentation, including:
– Tracking equipment maintenance and repair history.
– Maintaining accurate records and databases.
– Coordinating equipment upgrades and replacements.

Requirements:

– Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
– Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) preferred.
– Strong knowledge of medical equipment and technology.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience working in a healthcare setting.
– Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.
– Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
– Certification in a related field, such as electronics or instrumentation.
