Chief Engineer
Position Overview:
The Chief Engineer is the senior-most technical professional responsible for overseeing engineering operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of all systems, and leading technical teams in project planning, design, maintenance, and execution. This role ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the engineering department, including project engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.

Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.

Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.

Ensure compliance with safety codes, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Develop engineering strategies, plans, and performance standards.

Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and external agencies on infrastructure and technical projects.

Prepare technical reports, budgets, and documentation for management and regulatory bodies.

Implement preventive maintenance programs and oversee emergency repair procedures.

Mentor junior engineers and promote professional development within the team.
Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).

Professional engineering license or certification (preferred or required, depending on industry).

Extensive experience in engineering leadership, project management, and systems maintenance.

Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and engineering best practices.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership abilities.

Proficient in using engineering software and project management tools.
