Deputy Registrar
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized individual to fill the role of Deputy Registrar. The successful candidate will assist the Registrar in overseeing the administration of academic policies, procedures, and records, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of student data.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Policy Administration: Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing academic policies and procedures.
2. Student Records Management: Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of student records, including transcripts, grades, and diplomas.
3. Registration and Enrollment: Coordinate registration and enrollment processes, ensuring compliance with academic policies and procedures.
4. Scheduling and Timetabling: Assist in creating and managing course schedules and timetables.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and interpret student data to inform academic decisions and reporting.
6. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
7. Staff Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to registry staff.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree: Earned bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as education, administration, or a related field.
2. Experience in Registry or Academic Administration: Minimum 3 years of experience in registry or academic administration.
3. Organizational and Analytical Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
5. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Desired Qualifications
1. Master’s Degree: Earned master’s degree in a relevant field.
2. Experience with Student Information Systems: Experience with student information systems, such as Banner or PeopleSoft.
3. Knowledge of Academic Policies and Procedures: In-depth knowledge of academic policies and procedures.
4. Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
