Executive Director

Position Overview:
The Executive Director is the highest-ranking executive in an organization, responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing daily operations, managing resources, and ensuring the fulfillment of the organization’s mission and goals. This role involves working closely with the board of directors, stakeholders, and staff to drive growth, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and organizational policies.

  • Oversee all departments and ensure efficient and effective operations.

  • Represent the organization to stakeholders, partners, donors, and the public.

  • Lead fundraising, grant writing, and resource mobilization efforts.

  • Work with the board of directors to set goals, track progress, and ensure compliance.

  • Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and audits.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community, government, and industry partners.

  • Recruit, manage, and support senior leadership and staff development.

  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in a similar executive or senior management role.

  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, and financial management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • Ability to inspire teams and build a strong, values-driven organizational culture.

  • Experience working with boards and external stakeholders is highly desirable.
